Abstract

Malnutrition is a public health concern. In 2022, 2063 children under the age of five were screened in Kibogora district hospital’s catchment area and revealed that 3% of children were malnourished. Acute and moderate malnutrition was at 82% and acute severe malnutrition was at 18%. (Kibogora DH, 2022).

. INTRODUCTION Malnutrition is the leading global problem in developing countries (Edith et al. 2016). This causes mortality and morbidity among children and can impair physical and cognitive development of the children. The study aimed at assessing the Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) regarding dietary practices in prevention of malnutrition among mothers of under - five children). ( sangra et al,, 2019)
