THE IMPACTS OF SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM ON REDUCTION OF STUDENT’S DROPOUT IN 12YBE OF RUBAVU DISTRICT

Abstract

This study sought to investigate the impacts of school feeding program on reduction of student’s dropout in 12ybe of Rubavu district in 2022 in GS Bwitereke. To achieve the following objectives namely 1) To examine the school factors which contribute to pupils dropping out of school. (2) To assess the influence of parents‟ education level of pupils and development of school feeding. (3) To assess the impact of school feeding program on reduction of student’s dropout in G.S. BWITEREKE. To achieve these objectives, a sample from the total target population were 120 including 111 students, 7 teachers and 2 staff members of GS Bwitereke However, the researchers targeted only students of ordinary level students who were 160 because there is no advanced level and this was the targeted population from whom a sample was determined. The researchers used the Yamane formula of sample calculation and samples size were 120 were selected out of 160 students, 9teachers and 3 administration staffs.
