Abstract

Triage is the process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their conditions. Accurate triaging of patients in emergency departments is crucial, since triage determines how quickly patients are prioritized appropriately, cared for in a timely manner. Correct decision-making of triage is the basis of prioritization as it has an important effect on patients’ outcomes.
