Abstract

Teenage pregnancy is a global problem occurring in high, middle and low-income countries (ICPD, 2017). Many countries continue to experience a high incidence of teenage pregnancies even if they have some intervention strategies for underrating the issue (Walag et al., 2018). Every year, an estimated 21 million girls aged 15–19 years in developing regions become pregnant and approximately 12 million of them give birth.(Guttmacher Institute; 2016). The purpose of this study was to assess community awareness on impact and factors to unwanted pregnancy among teenagers between 15-19 years study at Nyabidahe secondary school, Karongi district. The study was a descriptive cross-sectional study that used a simple random sampling method during data collection among teenagers between 15-19 years study at Nyabidahe secondary school.
